SOFTBALL GAMES POSTPONED, WILL NOW PLAY A TRIPLEHEADER ON SUNDAY

3/31/2012

MORAGA, Calif. -- Due to rains expected to hit the Moraga area throughout the day, Sacramento State’s softball doubleheader at Saint Mary’s has been postponed.

The games were supposed to be the first two of a four-game series between the two teams to open the Pacific Coast Softball Conference schedule.

The Hornets and Gaels will now play a tripleheader tomorrow with the first game beginning at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Cottrell Field. The fourth game of the series has not been scheduled yet, but will likely be played at some point midweek during the season.

Sacramento State (17-10) has won 10 of its last 12 games, which included a nine-game winning streak that stretched from March 4-18. Saint Mary’s will enter tomorrow’s tripleheader with an 11-16 record.
