FOLSOM, Calif. — Sacramento State dropped a pair of matches on the second and final day of its home tournament on Saturday afternoon at Livermore Community Park. The Hornets lost to 17th-ranked Saint Mary's, 5-0, before falling to San Jose State later in the day by a 4-1 score.

Sacramento State concluded the tournament with a 1-3 record, which included a 3-2 win over San Francisco yesterday. Saint Mary's finished at 3-0, San Jose State was 3-1, and San Francisco finished 0-3.

With the losses, Sacramento State dropped to 1-6 while Saint Mary's is now 9-3 and San Jose State is 8-6.

The only doubles team to win today was Macey Hayden/Paige Swinney who won at No. 3 against San Jose State by a 21-12, 16-21, 15-9 score. The tandem also took their Saint Mary's opponent at No. 3 doubles to three sets before losing.

Sacramento State does not play again until a Big West challenge tournament in Pismo Beach from March 29-31. The Hornets will play six matches over three days, which includes competing in two matches all three day of the tournament.
