SAND VOLLEYBALL HOSTS SEVEN-TEAM DUAL-MEET TOURNAMENT THIS SUNDAY

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento State sand volleyball squad will host a one-day, dual-meet tournament on Sunday that will feature all seven members of the Northern California Sand Volleyball Consortium.

A total of seven matches will take place throughout the day, beginning at 9 a.m., and running until the final match of the day at 6 p.m. All matches will take place at the Sacramento Softball Complex of the City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation. The complex has a lighted four-court sand volleyball facility, and is located at 3450 Longview Drive, which is located near Watt Avenue and Business 80. The Northern California Sand Volleyball Consortium is comprised of Sacramento State, Cal, Stanford, Saint Mary's, Pacific, San Francisco and Santa Clara. Each team will play two matches on Sunday, and the schedule is listed below. Of those seven squads, four qualified for the NCAA Tournament during the 2012 indoor season. The Northern California Sand Volleyball Consortium is in its first year of existence, making this Sunday the first dual-meet tournament in the consortium's history.

Admission and parking is free on Sunday. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Outside food and drinks,  as well as pets are not allowed inside the complex.
