SACRAMENTO -- The entire Sacramento State women's rowing team will participate in the program's annual Ergathon fundraiser on Monday, Feb. 4, in front of the Athletics Center on campus. The event begins at 6 a.m., and will run all day.
The Ergathon is Sacramento State Rowing's primary fundraiser, and donations are used for the purchasing of rowing equipment. Updated equipment is extremely important for the safety and competitiveness of the student-athletes.
On Feb. 4, the Hornets will set up ergometers in front of the Athletics Center, and attempt to row a combined 500,000 meters as a team. "Ergs" are stationary rowing machines that measure the time, power and meters each athlete rows.
