As a sophomore (2013): In her first season with the rowing squad, Alftin competed with the novice eight, varsity four, second varsity four and novice four boats…began the year by competing once for the novice four before working her way up to the second varsity four and eventually the varsity four…rowed with the V4 in the boat’s final three races of the year…also sat in the three seat four times, and the seven seat on two occasions with the novice eight.

As a freshman (Fall of 2010): Appeared in one match for the Sacramento State volleyball squad…posted one kill (in one attempt) to go along with a block in the Hornets’ home win over Weber State on Oct. 9.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Woodside High School in Woodside, Calif…played four years of volleyball and one season of basketball…played on the outside and in the middle with the volleyball squad…was a three-time all-Peninsula Athletic League selection, including a first team choice as a junior and senior, and second team as a sophomore…team captain of the 2009 squad…played all four years on the varsity squad, and became just the third player in Woodside High School history to play on the varsity team as a freshman…in 2007, she helped Woodside to a Peninsula Athletic League (Bay Division) championship after the team went 30-7 overall and 13-1 in league…involved in campus leadership, she was president of the Pink Ribbon Club from 2008-10.
