As a senior (2012): Competed in every spring regatta with either the varsity eight, second varsity eight or varsity four…rowed with the varsity eight in the five seat twice, and the three seat on one occasion…competed with the second varsity eight in the four seat five times, and the five seat on one occasion…also sat at three with the varsity four in one race…sat at four with the second varsity eight that won silver at the WIRA Championships, and bronze at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships…never missed a race during her four-year career…became the 11th Hornet rower to receive the National Scholar-Athlete Award multiple years (2011, 2012)…the award is given to rowers across the nation with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average…has a personal-best 6:59.1 on the 2,000-meter ergometer test, the fastest time on the team…became one of just a handful of rowers in school history to finish the test in under seven minutes.
As a junior (2011): Sat in either the four or six seat (primarily the four) with the team’s varsity eight in every spring race…sat at four with the Hornets’ varsity eight that won bronze at the WIRA Championships…recipient of the National Scholar-Athlete Award, given to rowers with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.
As a sophomore (2010): Competed with either the varsity eight or second varsity eight in every spring race…that included sitting in the four seat with the team’s top boat in five races, and in the six seat with the second varsity eight in six races…ended the season with the second varsity eight where she helped the boat to a second-place finish in the JV Heavyweight Eight final at the Dad Vail Regatta, as well as a fourth place finish at the WIRA Championships.…also rowed in the two seat with the varsity four on one occasion.
As a freshman (2009): Competed in the four seat with the novice eight in every spring race…also sat in the two seat in one race with three different boats (varsity four, second varsity four and second novice four)…won a bronze medal with the novice eight at the WIRA Championships.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Evergreen Valley High School in San Jose, Calif…played four years of soccer and two years of softball for the Cougars…in soccer, she was a four-time first team all-league selection…led the Blossom Valley Athletic League in total points in 2005-06…during one of her seasons with Evergreen Valley, she tallied a league-best 27 goals…named the school’s Freshman Athlete of the Year in 2004-05.
Personal: Parents are David and Ruth Brennan…a kinesiology major…competed for the Pennsylvania Athletic Club Rowing Association in the summer of 2010 at both the USRowing Club National Championships and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta…competed for three boats at the club nationals, and advanced to a pair of finals at the Henley…was among 52 rowers from across the nation selected to attend the USRowing Junior Women’s National Team Selection Camp during the summer of 2009.
