8/2/2010

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State has named Christopher Hall its new assistant golf coach, it was announced by Director of Golf David Sutherland. Hall's primary duties will be to coach the Hornet men's program and assist with the day-to-day activities of the program.

"I'm very excited to have Chris join our program," Sutherland said. "He has experience as both a collegiate player and coach and will be able to help our program continue to grow."

Hall served as the volunteer assistant coach at Fresno State for the past two seasons. While with the Bulldogs, he helped guide Hali Coppin to an individual Western Athletic Conference title and also an appearance at the Women's U.S. Open Qualifier.

Along with his coaching duties, Hall also spent time with members of the men's and women's golf team and swimming and diving as a sport psychologist.

A native of Murphys, Calif., Hall played collegiately at Butte and Cabrillo junior colleges before transferring to Chico State. He earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Chico State and later added a master's in sports psychology from Fresno State.
