Credential Requests
All media credential requests must be faxed on company letterhead to Mark Bedics of the NCAA at (317) 917-6826. Please include your e-mail address with the request.
Media Accomodations
A listing of hotel accomodations can be located online by logging onto: www.hornetsports.com/sports/ncaatf/hotels.asp. Please refer to the NCAA media rate when calling.
Pre-Meet Press Conference
A pre-meet press conference featuring selected NCAA coaches and athletes will be held in the Hinde Auditorium in the University Union on the campus of Sacramento State on Tuesday, June 5, at noon (please see Attachment C). The Sacramento State Media Relations Office will be contacting coaches in early June.
Media Credential Pickup
Media credentials may be picked up on Tuesday, June 6, outside of the Hinde Auditorium in the University Union on the campus of Sacramento State (please see Attachment C). Credentials will be distributed beginning at 11 a.m. and will continue for one hour after the press conference. Late pickup of credentials will be located at Media Check-in Gate (No. 4 on Attachment B) at the southeast corner of the Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex.
Press Box Accommodations
There is a limited amount of workspace inside the press box at the Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex. Seating will be assigned according to NCAA priorities and guidelines.
Field-Level Media Area
A working media tent will be set up in the southeast corner of the stadium (No. 9 on Attachment B). This area will include a supplemental media work area, mixed zone and media viewing area. Phone lines will also be installed in the area for members of the media (print and photo). Additionally, the media working area is also a hot zone with Wi-Fi connection.
Interviews and Athlete Access
Media will have access to athletes after competition in the mixed zone, located in the southwest corner of the field-level media area. Please contact a member of the media relations staff, or the school’s SID, if a more extensive interview is needed.
Media Parking
Requests for media parking passes should be submitted along with your credential request to Mark Bedics of the NCAA. Passes for the media will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be in Lot 10 (No. 3 on Attachment B).
Heat Sheets/Results
Heat sheets and results will be distributed to the media in the press box. Quotes will also be available with the results following all finals. Your media credential entitles you to one copy of each.
Results will also be available online at www.ncaasports.com and www.hornetsports.com.
Photographers
A limited number of photo vests for infield access will be available for still/video media to sign out for one-hour periods during competition. Photographers must promptly return each vest at the specified time or earlier, or risk forfeiting their credential for the remainder of the meet. Photographers without vests can still shoot inside on the fence on the southwest corner of the track near the finish line. A vest is required for all other locations inside the fence. Vests will be available for pick up at the working media tent (No. 9 on Attachment B).
