MENâ€™S TENNIS CONCLUDES BULLDOG CLASSIC
FRESNO, Calif. -- The Sacramento State men’s tennis team began its fall season at the 18th annual Bulldog Classic held at Fresno State this past weekend. Four players represented the Hornets during the three-day event (Sept. 30-Oct. 2) at the Wathen Tennis Center.
All four players were newcomers to the program, comprised of freshmen Roy Brandys, Jonathan Hultkrantz, Sean Kolar and Marek Marksoo. Returners Javier Millan and Aliaksandr Malko were in Tulsa, Okla., competing at the ITA All-American Championships.
Brandys and Marksoo both competed in the Flight A singles portion of the event, with Marksoo advancing to the Round of 16, and Brandys getting knocked out in Round 3 of the consolation bracket.
Kolar and Hultkrantz played in Flight B singles, and both players advanced to the Round of 16 before falling.
In doubles play, the tandem of Brandys/Marksoo reached Flight A’s Round of 16, and Hultkrantz/Kolar fell in the Round of 16 of Flight B.

The Hornets return to action later this week (Oct. 7-9) when the compete at the Aztec Fall Invitational in San Diego.
