The Hornets, who will be fielding a roster this year which is made up exclusively of underclassmen, were competing in their second tournament of the fall season. All seven Hornets recorded at least one victory at the tournament, including Stryhas, Harbatsiuk and Barajas-Smith each reaching the Flight 1 Singles Round of 16.
Lantin and Ching both reached the Flight 2 Singles Round of 16, and Rueff reached the quarterfinals of the Flight 3 Singles draw. Conlon played three matches before his tournament came to a close with a loss in the Flight 3 Singles consolation semifinals.
The doubles tandems of Barajas-Smith/Ching (Flight 1), Harbatsiuk/Stryhas (Flight 1) and Lantin/Rueff (Flight 2) also competed at the tournament.
Sacramento State returns to action next weekend when the team competes at the Rolex Regional Qualifier in Seattle.
