2012 Season
A first team all-Big Sky Conference selection…the most consistent player on the Hornets throughout the season, Marksoo worked his way up from the team’s No. 5 singles player at the beginning of the season to No. 2…posted a 17-3 singles record, including 2-0 at No. 2, 6-0 at No. 3, 3-1 at No. 4 and 6-2 at No. 5…finished the year on an 11-match singles winning streak, and didn't lose a match since the middle of March…nine of those victories during the streak came in straight sets…a two-time Big Sky Player of the Week selection…went 10-8 in doubles play, including 6-4 at No. 1 with partner Javier Millan…in doubles, Marksoo went 6-4 at No. 1, 0-2 at No. 2, and 4-2 at No. 3…against Big Sky opponents, Marksoo went 8-0 in singles play, and 5-2 in doubles play…of his three singles losses this season, two came in narrow second-set tiebreaker defeats, and the third loss occurred when he was forced to retire against Utah because of a groin injury.
