MEN'S TENNIS TAKES DOWN SECOND STRAIGHT BIG SKY FOE

GREELEY, COLO. - The Sacramento State men's tennis team improved its Big Sky record to 2-0 after a 7-0 sweep over Northern Colorado on Sunday, March 16 in an indoor match held at Work Out West.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 8-7 on the season, 2-0 in the Big Sky, while the Bears fall to 1-6 overall, 0-2 in the Big Sky.
The Hornets swept all nine matches on the day, including all three matches at doubles. Sophomore Anton Stryhas and freshman Kiryl Harbatsiuk recorded an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, while freshman Artur Klimenka and junior Sven-David Rueff chalked up an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles. Freshman Ronan Conlon and sophomore Holden Ching rounded out the doubles victories, securing an 8-2 victory at the No. 3 position.
All six Hornet players won their singles matches in straight sets, with only the contest at No. 2 singles needing a set tiebreak. In that contest, No. 121 ranked Harbatsiuk knocked off Austin Nunn 7-6, 6-1, after winning the first set tiebreak.
Stryhas scored his 12th straight singles win, knocking off Vinnie Fallico at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-1, while Klimenka posted a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Paul Tschetter at No. 3 singles. Ching knocked off Ryan Dunn at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-4, while Conlon was a 6-0, 6-0 winner of Andrew Buzako at No. 6 singles. In the final match of the day to be completed, Rueff defeated Erik Morin at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-3.
Sacramento State continues its 12-match road trip as they travel to the state of Montana for clashes against Montana and Montana State on March 21 and 22.
