SACRAMENTO, Calif. --- The Sacramento State men’s tennis team evened its record at 3-3 on the season with a 7-0 victory over Gonzaga, Saturday afternoon at Rio Del Oro Racquet Club.The Hornets stormed through the doubles matches winning each match by at least four games. Junaid Hossain and Gabriel Loredo defeated Brett Womack and Logan Napolsky, 8-3, at No. 1. Warwick Foy and Ramon Perez notched an 8-4 win at No. 2 over Reid Arthur and Charles Adams and Hague Van Dillen and Paul Komorniczak downed Cooper Fratt and Robert Penney, 8-4, at No. 3.
In singles play, Hossian cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Arthur at No. 1. Loredo beat Marco Pineda, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 2. Foy recorded a 6-4, 6-3, win over Womack at No. 3. Van Dillen beat Fratt 10-6 in the super tie-breaker to record a three-set victory. Perez had an easy win over Penny, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 and Komorniczak beat Adams, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.
Sacramento State will next face Weber State on Mar. 3 at Rio Del Oro.
