San Francisco started the day by taking two of the three doubles matches to claim the point. At the one, senior Peter Farkas and sophomore Joakim Rydberg dropped a tough 8-6 decision to Pablo Pires de Almeida and Philip Riise-Hanssen. At the two, sophomores Warwick Foy and Ramon Perez picked up the lone Sacramento State win over Andrew Bertolina and Greg Hom, 8-3. At the three, junior Juniad Hossein and sophomore Assad Malik dropped their match against Falko Huettenberger and Timo Kienle, 8-4.

In singles play, Rydberg got the Hornets on the board at the one with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Kienle. At the two, Hossein fell to Riise-Hanssen, 6-3, 6-2. Junior Thomas Morton fell in his match to Fernando Rodriguez, dropping a tough 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 decision. At the four, Farkas won his match over de Almeida after he retired due to injury. The final score was 6-4, 6-7, 4-0 ret. At the five, Foyrebounded from his loss yesterday to claim a hard-fought win over Andrew Hogan, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. At the six, Perez dropped his match to Huettenberger, 6-2, 6-4.

Sacramento State wraps up its school-record five-match homestand tomorrow against Portland. Due to the incoming inclement weather, the match has now been moved to Spare Time Indoor Tennis Center in Gold River, Calif. First serve against the Pilots is set for 1 p.m.
