Sacramento State started the day by taking two of the three doubles matches to claim the point. At the one, seniors Matt Jones and Peter Farkas defeated Braden Olson and Marek Gebicki, 8-5. At the two, sophomore Joakim Rydberg and Warwick Foy fell to Federico Ueltschi and Justin Hauck, 8-3. At the three, junior Juniad Hossein and sophomore Ramon Perez defeated Jake Berriochoa and Tejeshwara Chigateri, 9-8 in the tiebreak to claim the point for the Hornets.

In singles play, Rydberg dropped a tough match to Ueltschi, 7-6, 6-4. At the two, Jones fell to Gebicki, 7-6, 3-6, 7-5. The loss to Gebicki clinched the match for the Bobcats. At the three, junior Thomas Morton defeated Chigateri, 6-1, 7-5. Foy dropped his match at the four to Kyle McDonald, 6-1, 6-2. At the five, Farkas claimed the last point of the day for Sacramento State as he defeated Olson, 6-2, 7-6. At the six, freshman Michael Thomsen dropped a 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 match to Berriochoa.

Sacramento State returns to action tomorrow as the Hornets take on San Francisco. First serve against the Dons is set for 1 p.m. at Rio Del Oro.
