Fresno, Calif.- The Sacramento State men''s tennis team fell to 55th- ranked Fresno State, 6-0, Wednesday afternoon at the Wathen Tennis Center.The Hornets fall to 1-2 on their young season, while the Bulldogs improve to 6-1.
In the No.1 spot, Fresno State''s Jakub Cech defeated Sacramento State''s Matt Jones in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3.
In five of the six matches, Fresno State won in straight sets. In the No. 4 spot, Sacramento State''s Joakim Rydberg won the first set over Fresno State''s Andy Sinn, 6-4, but Finn went on to top Rydberg 6-0, 6-4 in the final two sets.
Due to rain, doubles matches were not played.
The team will next play at New Mexico State on Feb. 26.
