NO. 28 WOMEN’S TENNIS TEAM CRUSHES MONTANA, 7-0

MISSOULA, Montana ---The No. 28 Sacramento State women’s tennis team defeated Big Sky Conference opponent University of Montana, 7-0, Saturday morning in Missoula Montana to remain undefeated in conference play. The defeat of the Grizzlies is the fourth straight conference victory for the Hornets, whose overall record improves to 19-3 on the season. The University of Montana drops to 1-4 in league play and 1-13 overall.

The Hornets took all six singles matches from the Grizzlies. Playing in the number one position, No. 78 Margarita Karnaukhova defeated Annabelle Janairo. In the second position, No. 100 Roberta Fessenko defeated Michaela Zima. Marta Gronowicz, playing in the third position defeated Lindsay Torgerson. In the fourth position, Ann Roslund defeated Colby Fannin. In the fifth position, Cecilia Helland defeated Jonna Schwartz, and in the sixth position Amanda Sanchez defeated Malena Rosen.

The Hornets won the doubles point by taking three of three doubles matches from The Grizzlies.

Sacramento State will next face Montana State, Sunday in a 9 a.m. match in Bozeman, Montana.
