Sacramento State began the day by winning the two of the three doubles matches to claim the point. The No. 3 doubles match did not finish because the Hornets already clinched the point. At the No. 1 spot, junior Nick Sheehan and freshman Anders Albertsen defeated Fredrik Jeppsson and Thibault Schram, 8-4. At the two, sophomore Peter Farkas and freshman Lewis Van Splunteren defeated Ronson Taylor and Jonas Jegars, 8-3.

In singles play, Sheehan managed to win the second set, but fell to Jeppsson at the one, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. At the two, Albertsen claimed his match with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Daniel Lundstrom. Freshman Jakub Sliva dropped a 6-2, 6-2 match to Schram at the three. Freshman Julien Chatelan improved to 12-2 on the year in singles play by defeating Jeremy Coll, 6-4, 6-3, at the four. Van Spluntern won his No. 5 match over Jegers, 6-0, 6-3 to clinch the match for the Hornets. Farkas’ match with Francisco Lando did not finish due to the Hornets’ clinching the win.

Sacramento State has now won its sixth-consecutive Big Sky Tournament match and will now play Idaho State, Sunday, April 27, at 9 a.m., in the Big Sky Championship. The Bengals upset Montana State, 4-1, in the other semifinal. Sacramento State will be in search of its third-consecutive Big Sky championship and its fifth title in the last six years.
