Loyola Marymount took the doubles point winning the No.1 and No.3 spots. The Lion tandem of Penka Fileva and Patrycia Hubl defeated Hornets Ann Roslund and Margarita Karnaukhova, 8-4. Georgina Dinham and Jennifer Baker clinched the doubles point with an 8-4 win over Sacramento State’s Petra Abraham and Cristina Rivieccio at the No.3 spot. The lone victory for the Hornets came from Amanda Sanches and Roberta Fessenko defeating Edit Pakay and Diana Vinis, 8-3.

Loyola Marymount also controlled singles play as four Lions clinched victories. Abraham gained a point for Sacramento State by defeating Vinis (6-0, 7-5), and Rivieccio recorded the other Sacramento Staste victory over Dinham (6-4, 7-5). Karnaukhova remained on the bench for singles play with a strained back.

The Hornets are back in action on Wednesday, April 16 as they take on Pepperdine at 1:30 p.m. in Los Angeles, Calif.
