MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO NO. 22 NEW MEXICO

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Sacramento State men's soccer team fell to No. 22 ranked New Mexico by a score of 3-0 on Friday, Nov. 9 at UNM Soccer Complex.
With the loss, the Hornets fall to 4-11-2 and 3-4-1 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, while the Lobos improve to 10-4-1 and 5-1-1 in MPSF play.
Justin Davis broke a scoreless tie in the 31st minute with a goal off of a cross from Ryan Faquharson, and the Lobos took the 1-0 lead into the intermission.
The Lobos controlled play in the second, as Chris Wright scored two goals, in the 54th and 61st minutes to account for the 3-0 victory.
New Mexico outshot the Hornets 12-1 in the contest, including 8-1 in the second half of play. New Mexico had four players take two shots apiece, while the lone Hornet shot came from senior Brandon Baggett.
Sacramento State returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 11, as they travel to UNLV to take on the Rebels. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
