AS A SENIOR (2006)
Playing most of his time as an outside back, Madu earned all-MPSF honors for the fourth time in his career - the only player in the history of the program to earn all-conference accolades in each of his four collegiate seasons...he ends his career having started 67 matches, a mark that ranks second in Division I program history, trailing only Sean Melendez (69).
AS A JUNIOR (2005)
Emerged as one of the top defenders in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and led a back line that surrendered only 21 goals and picked up four shutouts, a feat not accomplished since 1995...one of five players to start all 18 matches, he was a fixture in the central defense...a physical defender who can win the ball in the air, Madu frustrated the opposing offense, limiting opponents to 227 shots and earning him first team all-MPSF honors.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2004)
Proved to be one of the Hornets most consistent and solid defenders while starting and playing in 18 games...was third on the team playing 1,395 minutes, mostly at right back...was named to the all-MPSF second team, receiving conference honors for the second time in his career...finished the season tied for third on the team with three assists...notched his first career assist in a 4-0 win over Dominican...also assisted on a Ryan Rhoads goal in a 2-0 shutout of San Diego State on Oct. 15...finished the year with three points and three shots (one on goal).

AS A FRESHMAN (2002)
Named honorable mention all-MPSF after starting 17 of 19 contests for the Hornets in the defensive backfield...scored his first collegiate goal on Sept. 8 at UC Riverside.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2002 graduate of Valley High School in Sacramento...played two years of soccer as a striker...also competed one year as a place kicker for the football team...in soccer, he was named all-Delta League as a junior and senior...named team MVP as a senior..in football, he earned all-Delta League honorable mention honors as a senior...a member of the River City Rush in 2002...helped lead the Rush to the state finals as a defender.
PERSONAL
Born Feb. 29, 1984 (leap year)...son of Nneka Helen Madu...major is criminal justice...one of six children...played for the Sacramento Knights of the National Premier Soccer League for the past two seasons, anchoring the back line...helped lead the Knights to the 2006 national championship with a 2-0 victory over the Princeton 56ers and a 20-12-3 regular season record.
