AS A SENIOR (2006)
Finished his career at Sacramento State as a team co-captain, playing in 49 career matches, while making 39 starts...his 3.6 gpa has earned him all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation academic honors for three consecutive seasons...for the past two seasons he was also named to the NSCAA Scholar Athlete All-Far West Region second team...finished his four-year career with the Hornets scoring one goal and adding four assists... team’s starting left back the majority of the last three years...in 2006, he made 11 starts.

AS A JUNIOR (2005)

One of the main reasons Sacramento State’s defense was successful, Manton played in 15 matches (starting 14) at left back...kept the opposing teams at bay, helping the Hornets record four shutouts and limiting the opposition to 1.12 goals per game...also moved into the offensive attack, registering an assist on a free kick that found Oscar Sandoval in a 3-0 shutout of Denver on Oct. 21...a business major, with a 3.65 gpa, he was named to the Academic All-District VIII first team...the honor is given to the top-12 Division I men’s soccer players who compete in colleges located in Alaska, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Hawaii, Utah and Washington...also named to the MPSF all-academic team and to the NSCAA scholar-athlete all-academic second team.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2004)
A solid defender on the left side, he played in 17 matches, starting 11...recorded his first collegiate goal at Denver on Oct. 3...was named to the MPSF all-academic team...finished the year with two points and five shots.

AS A FRESHMAN (2003)
Started the first three games of the season before a concussion forced him to sit out the remainder of the year...tallied his first collegiate assist in a 2-1 win over UC Riverside on Aug. 31.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2003 graduate of Maria Carillo High School in Santa Rosa, Calif...played four years of varsity soccer as a sweeper...a two-year team captain, he led the Pumas to a 23-1-0 overall record and a North Bay League title in 2002...named team MVP that same season...earned all-NBL honors as a freshman and senior...named CIF Scholar Athlete all four years...earned Golden State Exam High Honors in chemistry as a junior...also named North Coast Section Scholar Athlete all four years...teamed with current Hornet Brandon Baggett...an eight-year member of the Santa Rosa United club team...led the Heat to six-consecutive State Cup Championships from 1998-2003...the squad also won a Regional Championship in Albuquerque, N.M., during the 1998 season...also a member of the Santa Rosa Express track club in 1998...named Athlete of the Year while placing 43rd out of 343 in the Junior Olympics National Race.

PERSONAL
Born Dec. 27, 1984...parents are Eric and Patty Manton...major is business management......is a left-footed player...younger brother, Luke, is a member of Santa Rosa United and the ODP NorCal State team...sister Rosie plays for the Sonoma State volleyball team.
