AS A JUNIOR (2007)
Earned second team all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors as a defender...appeared in 17 matches, starting all 17...handled majority of the team's throw-in duties...collected first career assist on a throw-in that was headed into the back of the net by Brandon Baggett to defeat Air Force 1-0 on Nov. 4...powerful defender who also was a target on set pieces, collecting 11 shots on the season including five on goal.

PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE

Played two seasons at Cañada JC for the Colts...was named a first team all-Coast Conference defender as well as Coast Conference defensive player of the year in 2006...earned second team all-West Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches of America..in 2004 led the Colts to a 13-4-2 record and a final ranking of No. 17 in the NSCAA/Adidas poll.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2004 graduate of Half Moon Bay HS in Half Moon Bay, Calif....played four seasons of varsity soccer for head coach Luis Mintegui...earned first team all-league honors his final three seasons of play...had best offensive season as a sophomore, scoring 19 goals...Played four years of club soccer for Juventus and one year for Chivas...was a state cup finalist in 2003 and 2004 with Juventus...tallied two assists in semifinals of state cup in 2003...reached finals of Futsal Nationals in 2005...scored goal in Futsal final.

Born Mar. 31, 1986...parents are Evangelina and Juan Martinez...majoring in criminal justice.
