SACRAMENTO STATE MEN’S SOCCER LOSES FIRST GAME OF COLORADO ROAD TRIP, 3-1, TO DENVER

DENVER, Colo. - Men's Soccer (4-5-1) began its latest road trip with a 3-1 loss to the Pioneers of Denver Friday afternoon at Denver Soccer Field.

The Pioneers took a 3-0 advantage on goals by midfielder Eric Van Deman, defender Justin Kiersky and defender Dag-Christian Olsen before Hornet junior defender Andy Hashimoto scored his first goal as a Hornet in the 80th minute.

After ten games, men's soccer has tied its best record since 1993 when the Hornets finished the season 5-11-2.

The team is now 0-2 in MPSF Conference play and will next take on Air Force Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m.
