MEN'S SOCCER INKS ADAM RICHARDSON TO LETTER OF INTENT

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State men’s soccer team signed goalkeeper Adam Richardson to a National Letter of Intent, it was announced today. Richardson will enroll at Sacramento State in the fall of 2004.

A senior at Riverton High School in Riverton, Utah, Richardson is a four-year varsity starter for the Silverwolves. He was an all-region selection as a sophomore and junior while also garnering all-state honors as a junior. Currently this season, Richardson has led RHS to a 6-1 overall record. He is also a four-year member of the USA Alliance club team in Riverton. The Alliance are coached by former Hornet soccer player Ryan Mitchell (1991-92).

Sacramento State head coach Michael Linenberger said Richardson will challenge sophomore Ryan Jimenez for the number two goalkeeper spot behind junior Matt McDougall.
