LINENBERGER NAMED TO YES CLINIC STAFF

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento State men''s soccer head coach Michael Linenberger was selected to serve as a clinician at the 2002 NCAA Youth Education Sports Clinic in Dallas, Texas, it was announced today. Linenberger will also serve as the head coach for the Region IV 1986 Boys Olympic Development Program team later this month.

Linenberger, a three-time YES Clinic selection and 2001 MPSF Coach of the Year, was one of 11 Div. I coaches from across the country who were named to the staff. The clinic is in conjunction with the NCAA College Cup and will be host to boys and girls from the ages of 10-18. The 150-200 kids will receive skill instruction and life skills while also participating in conditioning and games. The clinic will run on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Linenberger''s Region IV ODP team will participate in the Disney Showcase in Orlando, Fla., from Dec. 26-30. The tournament will also feature national under-17 teams from the United States and Japan, professional squads from England (Fulham) and Italy (AC Milan), and three other regional squads from across the country.
