MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO AIR FORCE, 1-0

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- Thomas Clark''s goal in the 87th minute broke a scoreless tie to give Air Force a 1-0 win over the Sacramento State men''s soccer team Friday afternoon in Cadet Soccer Stadium. The game marked the first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation contest for both schools. The Hornets are now 3-6-3 overall and 0-1 in MPSF play while the Falcons raised their record to 7-5-1, 1-0.

Neither team could find the net through the first 86 minutes of play until Clark scored on a first-touch goal off of assists by Skyler Clarkson and Daniel Wasson.

Air Force finished with a game-high 19 shots including seven on goal while Sacramento State tallied five shots (three on goal).

Freshman goalkeeper Matt McDougall recorded a game-high six saves to lead the Hornets. Falcon keeper Mike Taylor recorded the shutout by tallying three saves.

Sacramento State has only allowed two goals in its past three contests. The Hornets however have only recorded two goals in those games.

Sacramento State will conclude their road trip at Denver on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. PDT at Denver Soccer Field.
