The Sacramento State men’s and women’s soccer programs will be looking to draw huge crowds to “Break the Record Day” as they close out the regular home season on Sunday, Nov. 4.The women kick off action at noon when they host the Spartans of San Jose State. The men’s squad will follow at 3 p.m., taking on the San Diego State Aztecs. As a promotion, all youth soccer players wearing their jerseys will be admitted free to the Sunday doubleheader.
Both teams will be looking to shatter previous attendance records. The highest-attended women’s match drew 769 in a contest against Big Sky foe Weber State in 1999 while the men’s attendance record of 1,200 was set in 1992 in a 2-0 win over Stanford.
