MEN'S SOCCER FALLS AT USF
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Chris Sandoval scored his team-best second goal of the season but men's soccer lost, 2-1, to San Francisco on Sunday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium.

The Hornets (2-2-1) are now winless in two road games but are undefeated (2-0-1) at home. The Dons (2-1-1) won their first home game of the 2012 season.
Sandoval scored an unassisted goal to put the Hornets out in front early but USF scored twice within a 41 second stretch just before halftime to take the lead for good.
Mauricio De Leon scored in the 44th minute on a penalty kick after a Sacramento State foul in the box. Michael Shaddock then added another goal in the 44th minute when his shot was deflected into the net by a Sacramento State defender.
Sacramento State goalkeeper Bryan Oliver, who took over in net after Sacramento State's 4-0 loss at Oregon State, had allowed just one goal in the Hornets' previous three games and made five saves with two goals allowed against the Dons. USF keeper Brendan Roslund allowed one goal with three saves.
As a team, the Hornets placed four of their 10 shots on goal while USF tallied 15 shots with seven on frame.
Sacramento State will stay on the road for a game at CSU Bakersfield on Sept. 14.
