Bio: Marco Ramirez is in his first season as an assistant coach at his alma mater.

Ramirez was a standout defensive midfielder for the Hornets in 2004 and 2005 after transferring from Modesto JC. He started all 18 matches as a senior in 2005 and was a vital reason the Hornets posted a program-record eight-match undefeated streak on their home field. Ramirez was a second team all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation selection following his senior season.

In his two-year career out of Modesto JC, Ramirez posted six goals and five assists.

Following his collegiate career, Ramirez was the second overall selection in the Major Indoor Soccer League's collegiate draft by the California Cougars.
