IRVINE, Calif. – The Sacramento State men's soccer team had eight players named to the Big West Conference All-Academic team, the league announced Tuesday. They were tied with cross-town rival UC Davis for the most players named to the team.

To be eligible for the Big West Conference All-Academic, student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, complete one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically), and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

In total, 31 men's soccer players from the conference were named to the team. With eight players representing Sacramento State, the Hornets made up 25% of the Big Wests's All-Academic team.
