    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State men’s soccer team takes to the pitch tonight in the quarterfinal round of the Big West Conference tournament. The Hornets enter the tournament as the North Division’s no. 3 seed and go up against the South Division’s no. 2 seed, CSUN, in a win-or-go home match tonight at 7:00 pm.

    NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — The Sacramento State men’s soccer team mounted an inspiring comeback Wednesday night, overcoming a two-goal deficit to force overtime in the first round of the Big West tournament against CSUN. Unfortunately, it was CSUN who struck first in extra time, handing the Hornets a season-ending 3-2 loss.

    IRVINE, Calif. - Senior midfielder Paul Geyer was named a 1027 co-Midfielder of the Year, the Big West Conference announced Tuesday. Geyer is one of six Hornets to be named All-Big West for the 2017 season.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State men’s soccer team (7-7-1, 3-3-1) took a 1-1 tie into overtime Wednesday afternoon against UC Santa Barbara (6-5-4, 4-1-2). Despite nearly 70 minutes of scoreless play in regulation, it took UCSB just four minutes to score the golden goal in the first overtime period and steal the game 2-1 from the Hornets in Sacramento.

The two teams will be battling for first place as they enter Saturday’s match tied for the division lead with identical 3-1-1 Big Sky records.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State’s men’s soccer team and the UC Davis men’s soccer team entered Saturday’s Causeway Classic in a tie for first place in the North Division and it was Davis who went home still in first. After 90 minutes of physical play, the Hornets dropped to second, falling 2-0 to the Aggies.
