IKYURAV EARNS NATIONAL HONOR
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State men's soccer forward Isaac Ikyurav was selected to the Soccer America Men's National Team of the Week, the publication announced on Thursday evening.
Ikyurav was named to the national team of the week along with 10 other standout performers.
The junior from Benue, Nigeria, scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win at UC Irvine last Friday before assisting on the game-winner in double overtime in a 1-0 victory at CSU Northridge.
In their first weekend of Big West Conference play, Ikyurav and the Hornets were the only team to emerge with a 2-0 record and Sacramento State currently resides in first place in the North Division.
Ikyrurav was also named Big West Conference men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Sacramento State plays host to CSU Fullerton at 4 p.m. today and battles South Division leader UC Riverside at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Hornet Field.

Had assist in 3-1 win at Stanford and goal and assist in win by same score at California.

Had first collegiate goal in 1-0 win at Bucknell, snapping Bison's five-game winning streak, and registered game-tying goal in 2-1 win over Loyola (Md.).

Anchored defense that allowed just nine shots in 3-1 win over Columbia and 2-0 Big East win over DePaul.
Ashani Samuels (Mercer ), Soph.
Scored twice in 4-0 win over UNC Asheville and added assist in 2-1 win at ETSU to open Atlantic-Sun season.
