STATELINE, Nev. — Early morning rain and issues with travel for visiting teams, led to the cancellation of the third round of the Wolf Pack Classic on Tuesday at Edgewood Tahoe.
San Diego, which held the team after the first two rounds, was awarded the team title. Sacramento State finished 12th.
On Tuesday, Sacramento State got off to a great start, shooting 1-over as a team through nine holes. The score was unofficially the lowest of the day but was voided when the tournament was cut short.
"Rain delays caused travel issues for some of the teams," Nevada head coach and tournament director Jacob Wilner said. "We just weren't able to play all 54 holes."
Jake Johnson recorded the highest finish for Sacramento State, shooting 71-72-143 to tie for 12th place.
The Hornets will next compete at the Purple & Red Invitational in Layton, Utah beginning on Oct. 11.
