HARRIS SHOOTS EVEN PAR TO LEAD MEN'S GOLF AT FRESNO STATE TOURNAMENT

FRESNO, Calif. — Junior Jeremy Harris shot 1-under 71 in his final two rounds and finished even at the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic on Tuesday. Harris finished 74-71-71-216 and tied for 30th place.
San Diego State won the team title after finishing the three-round event with a team total of 841. The Aztecs were 23-under par as a team and edged Cal by three strokes. Texas (846), Oregon (855) and TCU (860) rounded out the top five. The Hornets finished 19th overall despite shooting a season best 891.
Individually, SDSU’s Matt Hoffenberg and Texas’ Charlie Holland tied for the top spot at 9-under. Hoffenberg carded rounds of 69-68-70 while Holland shot 70-68-69.
Harris was followed in the Hornet lineup by Cody Miller who shot 72-76-74-222 to tie for 67th. Sophomore Grant Norton tied for 84th at 80-75-73-228 while Scott DeBorba tied for 88th at 81-74-74-229. Kyle Candlish, who led the team last week at the Braveheart Classic, tied for 98th at 83-72-77-232.
Sacramento State will next competed at the Cal Poly Men’s Intercollegiate in Arroyo Grande, Calif., beginning on March 27.
