MEN'S GOLF ENDS FALCON INVITATIONAL WITH ITS BEST ROUND

 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Sacramento State junior Scott DeBorba and sophomore Grant Norton shot 70 and 71, respectively, in the final round of the Falcon Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
The pairs performance led the Hornets to a team score of 288 in the round and lifted the team to 14th place. Sacramento State finished the three-round tournament with a total of 894. Wichita State tied Iowa State for the low score at 852 but the Shockers were awarded the title based on the tie-breaker.
Individually, Norton tied for 19th place with a total of 218. The sophomore shot 72-75-71-218 to finish 15 strokes behind Ryan Spears of Wichita State. Spears was the medalist after firing rounds of 71-67-65-203.
DeBorba tied for 45th place at 74-79-70-223. The left-hander’s third round score tied for the sixth-lowest of the day. Cody Miller tied for 63rd overall at 75-78-75-228. Kyle Candlish was one stroke back to tie for 67th. Candlish shot 77-76-76-229. After struggling on Saturday, Jeremy Harris bounced back with a strong showing in the final round. Harris shot an even-par 72 and finished at 86-81-72-239 to place 97th.
