CANDLISH LEADS MEN'S GOLF IN FIRST TWO ROUNDS OF CAL POLY INTERCOLLEGIATE

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. — Kyle Cnadlish shot rounds of 75 and 70 lead the Sacramento State men’s golf team at the first day of the Cuesta Title/Cal Poly Intercollegiate on Monday. The three-round tournament will conclude on Tuesday at the Cypress Ridge Golf Club.

Candlish heads into the final round tied for 11th overall. His first-round score was one stroke ahead of teammate Scott DeBorba. In the second round, Candlish led a charge by the Hornets. After posting a 308 in the morning, the team improved by 18 strokes during the afternoon round.

Sacramento State is tied for eight place at 308-290-598. Host Cal Poly holds the clubhouse lead at 287-288-575.

Other Hornets include freshman Grant Norton who is tied for 36th (79-71-150). Jeremy Harris is tied for 46th (78-74-152). Cody Miller is tied for 63rd (79-75-154) and DeBorba who is tied for 70th (76-79-155).
