HEAD GOLF COACH ADAM POHLL QUALIFIES FOR PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State’s Director of Golf Adam Pohll has qualified for the 39th PGA Professional National Championship. The tournament will take place June 22-25 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y. All four rounds of the tournament will be televised by The Golf Channel with a total purse over $500,000. Additionally, the top 25 players at the national championships earn invitations to the PGA Championships in August.A former collegiate standout for the Hornets, Pohll finished in a three-way tie for fourth at the regional qualifying event which took place at Winchester Golf Club. Pohll previously played in the 2003 Western Club Professional Championships and also competed in the PGA Qualifying School that same year.
