LITTLE LEADS MEN'S GOLF AT SANTA CLARA INVITATIONAL

SAN JOSE, Calif. --- Brian Little shot a third-round 73 to finish second at the Santa Clara Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Silver Creek Golf Course.

Little finished with a three-round total of 217 to finish two strokes back of Santa Clara's Michael Nicoletti.

The Broncos won the team title with a score of 884. Holy Names was second, 10 strokes back, while the Hornets finished sixth among the nine-team field with a total of 913.

Little paced Sacramento State by shooting rounds of 73, 71 and 73. He was followed by freshman Matt Montez who tied for 31st with a total of 77-79-76-232. John Bowen and Brandon Kingsolver each tied for 36th with a total of 233. Chad Wood finished in 42nd, shooting 82-77-77-236.
