Sophomore Tracy Nichols led the women’s team with a two-round total of 163 to finish seventh. She was joined in the top 20 by Makayla Oei (11th), Mackenzie Francis (16th) and Courtney Cotter (17th).

For the second-straight tournament, Cal State Northridge claimed the team title. The Matadors finished with a total of 637 — 20 shots better than second-place UC Riverside. Host Cal Poly (660) finished third while the Hornets (666) and Santa Clara (701) rounded out the top five.

The men’s team was paced by Tanner Makimoto who shot rounds of 77, 73 and 77 to tie for 11th. Bryan O’Malley (T16th) also finished in the top 20 with a total of 229.

Saint Mary’s defeated Santa Clara in a playoff to win the team championship. The Gaels’ Joe Lanza also took home medalist honors. Lanza shot 69 in both the first and third round and a 77 in the second round to finish the tournament at 215.
