Host UC Davis claimed the team title with a three-round total of 834. Stanislaus State (863), Cal State Bakersfield (873), Western Washington (890) and Sacramento State (891) rounded out the top five.

The Aggies also captured the top three individual honors. Scott Gordon shot rounds of 68-71-67 to win the individual crown. Eric Restrepo and Will Johnson finished second and third, respectively.

The Hornets were paced by Kyle Davis who tied for seventh at 215 (71-74-70). Bill Hurwitz (T24), Jarrod Makimoto (T35), Craig Callens (T50) and John Bowen (T63) completed teh Sacramento State lineup.

The Hornets will conclude the 2001-02 season on April 22-24 at the Big Sky Conference Championships in St. George, Utah. The event will mark the final time that the Big Sky will award a men’s championship due to the fact that Portland State and Eastern Washington plan to discontinue their men’s program at the end of the year.
