SACRAMENTO, Calif.- The University of Idaho shot rounds of 305 and
291 and currently holds a two-shot lead over Washington State after
the first day of competition at the Sacramento State Invitational at
Rancho Murieta Country Club. Sacramento State recorded scores of 296
and 305 and sits in third place, five shots off the lead.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with one round beginning at 8 a.m.
Individually, Stanislaus State's Mark Lawless sits atop the
leaderboard with a two-round total of 141. Lawless was in second
place after shooting 72 in the first round but followed with a 69 to
become one of just three players to record a subpar score oon the
day. Drew Corwin of Santa Clara is in second at 144 and Washington
State's Isaac Woods sits in third with 147.
Sacramento State was paced by Zach Spinuzzi (73-75-148) and Phillip
Cuthbertson (72-77-149), who sit tied for fourth and sixth place,
respectively.
