FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Senior Denise Larsen shot 75 in her final round to

tie for 15th and help lead the Sacramento State women's golf team to a

ninth-place team finish at the Lumberjack Women's Golf Invitational. The

event, which was held at the Elden Hills Golf Club, was won by Iowa

State with a team score of 603. The Hornets ended the two-round

tournament with a score of 635.

Lisa Chen of the University of San Francisco claimed individual medalist

honors with a two-round score of 145 (73-72). Noel Jacobusse of Iowa

State was second, three strokes behind.

The Hornets will have nearly a month off before participating at the San

Diego State Invitational at Lake San Marcos C.C. on Oct. 22-23.
