MEN'S GOLF IN THIRD PLACE; JOHNSON TIED FOR THIRD AT FOLINO

INDUSTRY HILLS, Calif. — Senior Jake Johnson shot 68 in the second round of the Folino Invitational to keep Sacramento State in the hunt for the team title on Monday.
Johnson's score vaulted him into a tie for third place and places him just one stroke off the lead held by Long Beach State's Kevin Lim and Pepperdine's Josh Anderson.
As a team, the Hornets are in third place with a two-round total of 298-290-588. The team's round on Tuesday was the second best of the day, trailing only Long Beach State which shot 286. The 49ers hod the team lead heading into the final round with a total of 583. Pepperdine is second at 585.
Grant Rappleye shot a 1-over 72 and is tied for 11th place at 75-72-147. Freshman Owen Taylor added round of 74 and Cameron Rappleye shot 75.
Overall, Cameron Rappleye is tied for 15th place and Taylor is in a tie for 19th.
The tournament will conclude on Wednesday with the final round at Industry Hills Golf Club and Pacific Palms.
