Bio: Adam Pohll was named Sacramento State¹s Director of Men¹s and Women¹s Golf in September of 2004. In his current role, Pohll will serve as the head coach for both teams.

A former Hornet golfer, Pohll helped lead Sacramento State to its first-ever Big Sky Conference championship in any sport in 1997. As a member of the men¹s golf team in 1996 and 1997, Pohll was the co-medalist at the Big Sky Championship as a senior. Pohll also went on to win three more individual titles his senior year.

Prior to coming to Sacramento State, Pohll attended Fresno State for two years. While with the Bulldogs, he was a member of their men¹s golf team which won the Western Athletic Conference title in 1994.

Following his playing career, Pohll served as an assistant pro at Mather Golf Course in Sacramento from 1997-99 and was also an assistant coach for the Hornet under Rene Mondine during that same time period. In 1999, he returned to his native Fresno, Calif., to become the general manager of the Riverside Golf Course. In that role, he implemented the Riverside Learning Center which is an instructional facility and also oversaw the daily business operations.

In 2000, Pohll added the title of Senior Operations Manager with CourseCo., Inc., to his resumé. Along with his existing responsibilities at Riverside, he also worked with four other courses in Northern California. In his new position, he supervised the general managers, golf professionals and superintendents.

Pohll continues to play competitively, participating in the 2003 PGA Qualifying School and qualifying for the 2003 Western Club Professional Championships in Seattle. In the summer of 2006, he qualified for the PGA Professional National Championships in Verona, N.Y. He also is a Class A member of the PGA of America.
