Sievers began the tournament on the 18th hole and was quickly 2-under with a stretch of par-birdie-birdie. That changed to 2-over with bogey-bogey-double bogey on the next three holes and he eventually was at 5-over through nine holes. Sievers birdied the par-5 ninth but added bogeys on Nos. 11 and 13 to stand at 6-over. He played his final four holes at 1-under with a birdie on the par-5 15th and three pars. In the second round, Sievers had a birdie on the 10th hole and seven bogeys.
