ELK GROVE, Calif. — Hornet senior Jordan Swanson shot 69 in the second round of the Sacramento State Invitational to match the best score of the day. Unfortunately for Sacramento State, Swanson is competing as an individual and his score did not count towards the team total.
Overall, Swanson is tied for fifth place and is four strokes behind Loyola Marymount's Lawrence Ree for the individual lead. Ree, who is also competing as an individual, shot 70-70-140.
As a team, the Hornets are in eighth place after rounds of 298-300-598. LMU rallied for the lead behind a strong second round.
