Luke Jackson begins his first season at Sacramento State as a graduate assistant for the 2018-19 season.
Jackson spent the previous two seasons (2016-18) at San Diego State where he was a student assistant. With the Aztecs, he handled numerous duties including travel, video, and practice logistics.
Prior to San Diego State, Jackson spent three years playing basketball at Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif. He redshirted in 2013-14 prior to playing a combined 52 games during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. That included 16 starts as a sophomore.
He prepped at Millennium High School in Goodyear, Ariz., where he was a two-year starting forward for the varsity team in 2011-12 and 2012-13. During his senior season (2012-13), he helped the team to a 24-6 overall record, 14-1 in league, and a quarterfinal appearance at the state tournament. That Millennium squad finished the season ranked 21st in the state of Arizona.
A native of Goodyear, Ariz., Jackson graduated from San Diego State in the spring of 2018 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
