GAME PREVIEW

• Fresh off Tuesday's loss to rival UC Davis at the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento State (1-3) will begin the Wooden Legacy on Thanksgiving Day with a matchup against San Diego State (3-1) at 10 p.m. The game will be televised live on ESPNU, and will be available online at www.WatchESPN.com.
• Sacramento State is one of eight teams at the four-day tournament which features a 12-game bracket format to be played Nov. 23, 24 and 26 in Fullerton. All 12 games during the tournament will be televised on ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS or ESPN3.
• Every game of the tourney will be played in Titan Gym on Cal State Fullerton's campus.
• Besides the Hornets and Cal State Fullerton, other schools playing in this year's Wooden Legacy are Georgia (SEC), Harvard (Ivy League), Saint Joseph's (Atlantic 10), Saint Mary's (West Coast), San Diego State (Mountain West) and Washington State (Pac-12).
• On Friday, based on the outcomes on Thursday, the Hornets will play Georgia or Cal State Fullerton on ESPN2 or ESPNEWS. All eight teams will be idle on Saturday, and Sacramento State will play again on Sunday on one of the four ESPN networks covering the event.
• This year marks the Hornets' first-ever appearance at the Wooden Legacy, a tournament which is in its 11th year of existence.
• Sacramento State and San Diego State are playing each other for just the fifth time, and first time since a 92-69 Aztec win in San Diego on Dec. 2, 2000.
• The Hornets are 1-3 all-time against San Diego State, with the lone win coming on Dec. 13, 1956, in a 60-56 victory in Sacramento. Since that time, the Aztecs have wins in 1994 (67-61 in Sacramento), 1996 (85-55 in San Diego) and 2000 (92-69 in San Diego).
• By the time Sunday's game tips, including the Hornets' game against UC Davis on Tuesday, Sacramento State will be playing its fourth game in six days.
• Playing without two potential starters because of injury (guards Marcus Graves and Jiday Ugbaja), the Hornets are off to a 1-3 start which includes road losses at Colorado State and San Francisco, and a neutral site defeat against UC Davis.
• The Hornets are in the midst of a brutal schedule that will see the team play seven of their first eight games away from their home floor.
• San Diego State is 3-0 at home, including wins over San Diego Christian, McNeese State and Eastern Illinois, and 0-1 on the road with a loss at Arizona State.
• Last season, Sacramento State played UC Davis in the first-ever collegiate game at the new Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento. That game the first of a doubleheader that saw San Diego State beat Cal, 77-65, in the nightcap.
