Fresh off an improbable 78-75 win against Weber State last week, Sacramento State (8-11, 4-6) returns to action on Thursday to host Northern Arizona (9-12, 6-4)…tip-off at The Nest is set for 7:05 p.m…the victory against Weber State came in overtime, and featured junior point guard Dylan Garrity receiving an inbounds pass with 0.7 seconds left, and heaving a 75-footer that hit nothing but net…the play wen viral over social media and has received massive amounts of national attention, including ranking #1 on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays the night of the shot…to commemorate the shot, "The Hail Garrity" t-shirts are being dispersed to the first 250 fans in attendance Thursday night…the Hornets are currently 2-0 on their season-long four-game homestand and have won three straight Big Sky home games…overall, the Hornets are 6-2 at The Nest, and 16-6 inside the friendly confines dating back to last year…Sacramento State will be seeking its first three-game winning streak of the season, and first streak of that length since opening the 2012-13 season with three straight wins…the Hornets are 3-1 at home against conference competition and are an overtime loss to Portland State away from being 4-0…five of the Hornets' last six home games have been decided by six points or less…Northern Arizona snapped a three-game losing streak with a 67-65 home win over Idaho State on Saturday…the Lumberjacks, who are in a three-way tie for third place in the league standings with a 6-4 record, are 3-8 on the road…two of those road wins came against Big Sky foes Montana and Southern Utah…the Lumberjacks defeated Sacramento State, 75-65, earlier this season in Flagstaff in a game that saw NAU shoot .688 (11-16) from the 3-point line…Northern Arizona owns a 33-10 record in the all-time series between the two teams, and has won 17 of the last 18 meetings…the Hornets are 7-14 when playing the Lumberjacks in Sacramento…like every home game the rest of the season, Thursday's contest can be seen live and free in High Definition on WatchBigSky.com…the game can also be heard over the airwaves on KTKZ 1380 AM…live stats are at hornetsports.com.
